Using the Horus with a PC:

  •  Live Video Streaming – YES
  • SD Card Image Transfer – YES

The provided USB to Mini USB cable which comes with the unit can be connected to a Laptop or PC live video streaming or image transfer.  If the Laptop or PC has an HDMI output then an HDMI cable can be connected to a Flat Screen with HDMI input.

Transferring Images from the Horus to the PC:

The live video feed from Horus is accessed by going into the menu and turning UVC ON.  This is the default mode on the Horus and will disallow the access to the SD card. In order to transfer images from the Horus to your PC using the included USB cable, you will need to go back into the menu on the Horus and turn UVC OFF.  When UVC is OFF, the USB cable will enable you to transfer the date on the SD card inside the Horus directly to the PC.

Using the Horus with a MAC:

  • Live Video Streaming – NO
  • SD Card Image Transfer – YES

MAC connection can be a challenge and there is no license agreement in place.  Users should be able to connect the included USB cable to a MAC if the MAC has a USB port to view and download still images from the SD Card.

Live streaming to the MAC is not uniformly supported so we do not offer such a statement.  There have been some reports of users outfitting their own MAC with off the shelf adapters but we do not have details.
