What is the difference between secured cords and unsecured cords?

  • Secured cords are for B71 bone transducers; features 2 pins and a safety screw
  • Unsecured cords are for older B71W bone transducers

What is the difference between B71 bone conductors and B71W bone conductors?

  • In August 2019, the safety requirements leveled up and to fulfill those requirements (according to IEC 60601-1), the safety distances around the terminals increased, terminals have been fixed, and we've changed the assemble construction (no screws on the back). Additionally, it is required that a pin connector needs to be fixed to the BC so it is not possible to remove the cord/connector from the BC without a tool
  • From the outside, the following changes are visible: body assembly screws are removed, housing is ultra welded instead & the cable is mounted with screws. This leaves a visible extra threaded hole in regard to the connector points
